Beautiful corals form a milking white in a beach! Endemic in some coastlines of Carmen, Agusan del Norte.

Corals in a beach of Carmen in different shapes and sizes! They are there spreading at the coastlines will tell us that the seabed was a hub of different marine life and coral reefs. You can witness them in different beaches of Carmen and one example is the Bolihon Beach Resort.

Location: Carmen, Agusan del Norte, Caraga Region

How to get there: Bus or Jeepney from Butuan City to Carmen town

Distance: Estimated 1 hour of travel from Butuan City to Carmen, then in the terminal, bicycle or tricycle ride will drop you to Bolihon Beach Resort for about 15 minutes.

Rocky Amontay Beach Coastline, Nasipit, Agusan del Norte

What a sight to behold!

Amazing rock formations along the coastline in Amontay, near the famous beach Amontay Beach Resort, in Nasipit Town, Agusan del Norte. Enjoyed much while exploring the different rocks as you walk in coastlines for miles. You will also witness trees submerged in the water, along the side is the mountains where you can rest under the shade of a tree.

Location: Nasipit, Agusan del Norte, Caraga Region

How to get there: Bus or Jeepney from Butuan City to Nasipit town highway, then went inside to reach Amontay Beach Resort, then take a walk along its coastlines.

Distance: Estimated 1 hour of travel from Butuan City to Nasipit, then in the highway turn right to get inside in Amontay Beach Resort for 10 minutes. From the beach coastlines, you can take a walk for miles crossing a small river, then start adventuring.

The Fame Horse Foot Marker at Sohoton, Bucas Grande Islands

Right after the entrance of Sohoton Cove, you will amaze the Horse Foot Marker before making a turn to another direction! The formation makes you feel that creation by Mother Nature is wonderful and incomparable.

In Sohoton Cove, aside from the jade tranquil clear water and vegetative lush mountain forests, you will witness different markers like limestone formation, caves, shallow water inside beneath a mountain, colourful fishes and turtle shape islands.

Location: Sohoton, Bucas Grande Islands, Surigao del Norte, Caraga Region

How to get there: From Butuan City by bus or van to Hayanggabon Port, Claver, then a boat ride from the port in going to Socorro town or Rally Point.

Distance: It will take estimated 2 hours to reach Hayanggabon Port of Claver from Butuan City, then another possible half to one hour crossing the seas going to Socorro or Rally Point.

Bislig City is not just for sightseeing and adventures but you can taste native and seafood delicacies right in your mouth.

When you talk Bislig City what will come to your mind is the majestic Tinuy-an Falls or the pristine white cute island in the center of the bay, the Hagonoy Island, but that could not be the least, since being a coastal city, it has seafood along the way aside from the sweet native delicacies.

How to get there: Public Utility Bus or van from Butuan City to Bislig City.

Distance: Estimated 4 hours of travel from Butuan City to Bislig City through public utility bus or van.

Viewing them in man-made pools surrounded with sea waters full of fun and excitement as you have seen them once in a lifetime.

Also, you will witness different species of marine life from different pools while savoring the fresh air from the sea, keeping the horizon beyond with neighboring islands and a beautiful sunset.

Location: Bagakay, Dapa, Surigao del Norte, Caraga Region

How to get there: From Butuan City by bus or van to Surigao City, then RORO or Pumpboat for crossing the sea to Dapa Port, then from Dapa Port taking a ride by jeepney or private vehicle to Magpupungko, Pilar

Distance: It will take for estimated 2 to 3 hours from Butuan City to Surigao City using public utility bus or private vehicle, then from Surigao City seaport crossing the sea by RORO for about 3 to 4 hours or pump boat for 2 to 3 hours in reaching Dapa Port. While in Dapa Port hiring a pupboat for at least 15 minutes in going to Bagakay Island.

Memorable shot at majestic Tinuy-an Falls 2nd tier by the late friend, Bislig City

Majestic Tinuy-an Falls was amazingly captured by the late friend whom he described the place “nindot kaayo” (very beautiful). The waterfalls during February was thick like a white curtain wall that smashes deep below in the 2nd tier. There were lots of fog that forms a mist vaporizing in a camera lens even you are far from the falls. It is wide enough and strong that everyone is stunned by the beauty of Mother Nature.

Many of the tourists visiting the place calling it as the “Niagara of Caraga.” This one of the gems of Bislig City that you will never forget.

Location: Bislig City, Surigao del Sur, Caraga Region

How to get there: Public Utility Bus or van from Butuan City to Bislig City, then rent a van or jeepney in going to Tinuy-an Falls.

Distance: Estimated 4 hours of travel from Butuan City to Bislig City through public utility bus or van, then from Bislig City terminal you can rent van or jeepney in going to Tinuy-an Falls for estimated 45 minutes to 1 hour.
