Alingatong Falls is located at RTR, Agusan del Norte has its beauty to possess with its cascading tier that drops the crystalline water of pure and cold. Hearing the splashing water into the ground that escape making its own route into the wilderness of the mountains.

Just another waterfalls in the mountains of RTR that points in the highest peak of Caraga Region, the Mt. Hilong-hilong and its ranges that spread in the provinces of Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, and Surigao del Sur where waterfalls scattered and some waiting to be discovered.

Cute Mayugda Falls, Jabonga, Agusan del Norte

Mayugda falls is located at Jabonga, Agusan del Norte as one of the cutest waterfalls in Caraga Region. You can reach easily unto the waterfalls as you can hear the splashing sounds of the water as you get nearer while having a ride with vehicle along the highway enroute to the center of the town. The location is accessible as you can witness the falling crystals along the side of the road or while you are inside of the vehicle. You can manage with few steps and touched the flowing crystals with your bare hands.

One unique features is the white curtain formation across the wall, the same level of cascading water from one side to the other side. So cute that you can describe it as a dwarfed Tinuy-an Falls, while you are standing like a giant creature in the making.

You can explore as you climb going to the next tier and witness another cute crystal curtain, but the perfectness of the view is incomparable to the first one. You can still manage to go up there to have some idea where the waters came from. Enjoy what you discovered and be free into the womb of Mother Nature.

The Tallest Pinagalaan Falls, Hamogaway, Bayugan City

Spectacular Pinagalaan Falls located at barangay Hamogaway, Bayugan City touted as the tallest falls in Caraga Region, but also considered as biggest or longest, or probably you can sense its own unique creation how wide and long when the water falls from the starting point that goes down the basin before your exploring eyes. It has some cascades and sub pool basins within some area of this gigantic falls.

Pinagalaan Falls is surrounded with lush green vegetation of wild forest, and considered dangerous when you are challenged to climb from the basin up to the top because of slippery in nature and the current of the water is unpredictable that you might be carried away down to the basin.

When staring at the falls, you will be stunned of its creation because of its huge structure compare to other waterfalls in Caraga Region. Although every waterfalls has its own unique ways to please the eyes of visitors coming from near and far localities.

How to get here ⬇
-From Butuan ride a van or bus to Bayugan (50 to 60 fare)
-Then drop at Bayugan terminal
-Then ride habal-habal (skylab) or tricycle to Hamogaway Elementary School (12 to 20 fare)
-Then go to the Barangay Hall and coordinate to the Barangay Captain/Kagawad
-30 minutes hike from the highway to the falls

Surprising Sumag-a Falls of Mahaba, Cabadbaran City is the most unique of all the waterfalls in Caraga Region. Aside from crystal clear and cold running water it has no river or streams above it but simply it goes nowhere but underground clear water breakout in the hilly part of Mahaba mountains.

Sumag-a falls has a man-made basin as a swimming pool where you can see the clearness of the waters before your eyes. The escape route of the flowing water is like forming a curtain of crystal wall onto the side of the pool before completely running away into the wilderness.

This how beauty exposed between the power of God and the talent of humankind blended in harmonious ways. When God created waterfalls and human created basin the result is surprising.

Lovable and sweet Lambingan Falls located at San Jose, Jabonga, Agusan del Norte is the best place to express feelings and relationships or to find yourself after from a hard breakup. The falls is appealing with adjoining plants, wild trees and rocks. Its height is approximately 5 meters with fast flowing waters cascading on it. As its name suggests, it is a great place for romantic escapades.

During rainy season, the falls has thick wider white curtains that the current of the water is strong as it flows down to the basin. The splash of the waters forms like music to your ears, never tired of listening.

Bluish Jade Linayapan Falls, Bunawan, Agusan del Sur

Amazing Linayapan Falls is located at Sitio Rock Island, Brgy. Bunawan Brook, Bunawan, Agusan del Sur which has a unique distinction of being called a waterfalls, not just a bluish jade aqua color in the basin but a splitter at the top that magically turns into two waterfalls. But during rainy days many waterfalls started to emerge in the main walls and started spreading like curtains.

Of course, when you are seeking to embrace the beauty of the falls but not easy things to do. Linayapan Falls is found at the center of vegetative rainforest surrounded wild trees and narrow path with rocks formation and muds but that should be normal for an adventurer seeking pleasure with the beauty of nature.

Anyway, Linayapan Falls is the pride of Bunawan people that has supportive barangay officials, they will help you to provide with a guide before reaching Linayapan Falls.

How to get there:

From Butuan City ride a van/bus bound to Davao City, Then drop to Bunawan or Bunawan Brook Outpost Terminal or Philsaga Mining. Ride a skylab for 2 hours to falls with fare of 200 pesos back and forth. Visit Barangay Hall for a logbook and you will be assisted with Barangay Captain or officials especially for someone to escort you in going to the falls. You will ride with a motor and once you get there no need to hike more. Peoples are nice and cooperative nothing to be afraid of.

Bega Falls of Mabuhay, Propsperidad, Agusan del Sur is another majestic falls discovered in Caraga Region, back to back with the majestic falls located in Bislig City, the Tinuy-an Falls. The name has the magical power to drop men in her beauty. The fairy tale story involves a beautiful fairy attracted by many men, once they go with her they went all the way to the falls and will not come back. The word ‘bega’ means in english to flirt.

Bega Falls is gifted with a 4-tiered waterfalls surrounded with green vegetation of the forest far from the main hub of the town proper, and you are going the trail with sweat and valor before reaching the majestic falls. But once you get there, you are seduced by its beauty and the feeling of exhaustion started to fade right away.

How to get there: From Butuan City by bus or van and dropped you at Awa along the highway entry point for Los Arcos, you can hire habal-habal/single motorcycle driver to carry you to barangay Mabuhay, then register at the barangay hall for you to be led by a tour guide, then ride habal-habal to the entry point, from that entry point walking/hiking to the 4 tiers of Bega Falls.

Distance: It will take for estimated 1 and a half to 2 hours from Butuan City to Awa along the highway entry point to Los Arcos. Then, hire habal-habal/single motorcycle in going to barangay hall of Mabuhay. From the barangay hall of Mabuhay, you will be led by a tour guide for another run of habal-habal for 10 to 15 minutes (4 kilometers) to the entry point of Bega Falls, from that entry point you will have to hike or walk for 30 minutes (1.2 kilometers) in reaching the 1st tier of Bega Falls and soon to another tier and so forth.

Sak-a Falls located at San Antonio, RTR, Agusan del Norte with its fascinating trail of cold waters enroute to the main tier of the waterfalls. Sak-a falls is one of the many waterfalls scattered along the hilly and mountainous trail of Mt. Hilonghilong. If Gingoog City is a city of waterfalls, then RTR has a gift of its own with many waterfalls, and yet others waiting to be discovered!

It is three-tiered water falls. The first tier is not ideal for swimming and in fact dangerous due to the strong flow of water falling from the main source. However the second and third tiers are safe for swimming.

Pinandagatan Falls is untouched, a falls with so many tiers to immerse deep into the forest of barangay Tubigon, Sibagat, Agusan del Sur. Once you get there the sum of adventures becomes your priceless possession the rest of your life because you have seen the most beautiful thing Mother Nature gives to the human race.

Although going to that place is not easy with a 31-kilometer bumpy ride of the uneven and muddy road, still, an adventurer catching for “a never seen before the world” that driving once instinct to move forward. Aj Mordeno, a member of Caraga Backpackers, has the courage to meets his goal touching Pinandagatan Falls by all means with a heart of an adventurer. According to Aj, this could be the best waterfalls he saw in Caraga with so many tiers along the way. With its expanse of different tiers, it could be the longest running waterfalls in Caraga Region. This motivates him to discover more some of the hidden waterfalls in Caraga.

Pinandagatan Falls is located in a far-flung barangay of New Tubigon, in the town of Sibagat, province of Agusan del Sur. Sometimes, you have to say in a sweet word “hidden paradise” because no one could ever go there because of the distance, envelope with different mountains thickening shrubs and trees, passing different rivers and rocks.

LOCATION: Barangay New Tubigon, Sibagat, Agusan del Sur, Caraga Region

HOW TO GET THERE: From Butuan City by bus or van to Bayugan City bus terminal, then from Bayugan City bus terminal go to San Juan terminal to look for habal-habal to ride you to New Tubigon Barangay Hall. Have a log book to a barangay hall for safety, barangay official will give you a tour guide for a walk to Pinandagatan Falls for 31 km. Just enjoy taking an adventure!

DISTANCE: It will take for estimated 1 hours from Butuan City to Bayugan City bus terminal. Then nearer from the terminal, probably a walking distance is the San Juan terminal to look for habal-habal to ride you to New Tubigon Barangay Hall. The from barangay hall, you are given a tour guide to walk with you to Pinandagatan Falls for about 45 minutes to 1 hour.

EXPENSES:

-Van or Bus from Butuan City to Bayugan City (60 pesos)
-Habal Habal from San Juan Terminal at Bayugan to New Tubigon Barangay Hall (120 pesos)
-Guide Fee (100 pesos)

REMINDER:

-Enjoy and Respect the place don’t litter, LEAVE NO TRACE, take your garbage with you let the place stay as natural as it is.
-Bring lots of waters during the trekking.
-Mostly a muddy terrain during trekking especially rainy season.
-Before you reach the roundabout (Rotonda of Bayugan) there’s a Flying V gasoline station that’s the way to Brgy. New Tubigon
-From Brgy. San Juan to Brgy. New Tubigon is not passable by Cars

Baobao Falls is jade-colored and clear cold waterfalls coming from the deep mountains of tropical rainforest in barangay Diatagon, Lianga, Surigao del Sur. It’s natural beauty made you stunned for a while as you hear the smashing of the waters in one level of waterways into a jade natural pools. You can see peoples with happy faces as they submerged in a cold and refreshing storage of Mother Nature.

Baobao Falls can be easilly accessible from the highway with just a 5 minutes trek, and you are done. A portion of the road is cemented along the steep line as develop by the local government unit, then the rest Mother Nature takes its place.

Location: Diatagon, Lianga, Surigao del Sur, Caraga Region

How to get there: From Butuan City by van or bus tell the driver to drop you off at Lianga highway crossing Diatagon, then a ride with habal-habal or single motor, or else go to public market to have a contact for habal-habal in going to Baobao falls. Baobao Falls is just a walking distance from the highway.

Distance: It will take for estimated 2 to 3 hours in reaching the highway of Lianga crossing barangay Diatagon from Butuan City, and an estimated 98 kilometers distance. Traveling is much nearer when having a shortcut route at Los Arcos crossing of Prosperidad highway at barangay Awa. When reaching at Lianga highway crossing Diatagon, it will be a 5-minute trek to the waterfalls.

Bega Falls of Mabuhay, Propsperidad, is another majestic falls discovered in Caraga Region aside from the other majestic falls located in Bislig City, the Tinuy-an Falls. The name has the magical power to drop men in her beauty. The fairy tale story involves a beautiful fairy attracted by many men, once they go with her they went all the way to the falls and will not come back. The word ‘bega’ means in english to flirt.

Bega Falls is a 4-tiered waterfall located in Purok 5, a 5.2 km from Brgy. Mabuhay, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur. Although, the location of the falls is far from the main hub of the town proper, and you are going through hard directions before reaching the majestic falls. But once you reach there, you are seduced by its beauty and feeling of tiredness and exhaustion started to fade away.

Bega Falls has been a tourist attraction for locals but has never been publicly exposed to other tourists in the Philippines. The place is home to at least 8 small springs and 25 waterfalls, where only a few are accessible to visitors for now.

Location: Mabuhay, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur, Caraga Region

Majestic Tinuy-an Falls is also known as ‘Niagara of Caraga’ because of its widest cascading white curtain falls flowing in three-tiered falls. A hidden gem of Bislig City aside from its lushful and vegetative forest, Tinuy-an Falls is now frequently visited by international and local tourists because its location is amazingly surrounded by Mother Nature such as tall trees and mountains, different birds approaching while listening to the smash of cascading waters.

Location: Bislig City

How to get there: Public Utility Bus or van from Butuan City to Bislig City, then rent a van or jeepney in going to Tinuy-an Falls.

Distance: Estimated 4 hours of travel from Butuan City to Bislig City through public utility bus or van, then from Bislig City terminal you can rent van or jeepney in going to Tinuy-an Falls for estimated 45 minutes to 1 hour.
