One of the many components of having a beautiful spot is to have natural-made pools, and this is where Magpupungko steals the show from the rest of the view. Magpupungko is located at Pilar, Siargao, Surigao del Norte.

The spot is visited more often from the locals as well as the international tourists due to amazing rock formations, high waves, and a haven of many God-made pools scattered along the way.

International Game Fishing Tournament is also the most awaited activity comes in the month of April where many anglers around the globe take the stage to capture giant fishes from the seas.

Location: Magpupungko, Pilar, Surigao del Norte, Caraga Region

How to get there: From Butuan City by bus or van to Surigao City, then RORO or Pumpboat for crossing the sea to Dapa Port, then from Dapa Port taking a ride by jeepney or private vehicle to Magpupungko, Pilar

Distance: It will take for estimated 2 to 3 hours from Butuan City to Surigao City using public utility bus or private vehicle, then from Surigao City seaport crossing the sea by RORO for about 3 to 4 hours or pump boat for 2 to 3 hours in reaching Dapa Port. While in Dapa Port hiring a jeepney or private vehicle for at least half to one hour in going to Magpupungko.
