One of the beauties of Dinagat Islands province, Pangabangan Beach of barangay Magsaysay, in the town of Libjo (formerly known as Albor). Mesmerized by its turquoise waters, rocky islands and islets, white sand beaches, sunsets and embracing cool winds from the Pacific Ocean, Libjo was described as an El Nido of Palawan. Here lies the Pangabangan beach is a gem waiting to be discovered before the eyes of adventurers from the different places of the country, Philippines.

Pangabangan beach is a white sand beach mirrored with limestone islets scattered in the vast turquoise waters. The beach is also neighbored by others paradise shoreline to name a few such as Pig-ot, Punta Villa, and Osmena beaches. A perfect place for sunbathing, kayaking, and boat riding for adventurous travelers and visitors. But for now is a no man’s land where you can walk alone on a beach with no tourists surrounds. Feel the quietness and embracing in a solitude of peace in the absence of others.

This is the heart of Mother Nature in the adventurous place of amazing Dinagat Islands.

How to get there: From Butuan City by bus or van to Surigao City, then ferry boat for crossing the sea to the port of San Jose of Dinagat Island, then from San Jose, another boat ride to Libjo town where beautiful beaches and rocky islets waiting to be discovered.

Distance: It will take for estimated 2 to 3 hours from Butuan City to Surigao City using public utility bus or private vehicle, then from Surigao City seaport crossing the sea by ferry boat for an estimated one to two hours in reaching the port of San Jose. While in San Jose, you can hire a ferry boat to carry you to the beautiful beaches and islands of Libjo town.

Kabakongan Cove was just one of the gems in the town of Basilisa. Yes, witness the cove are just part of the dream. The amazing color of the waters stunned you like in a dream. But this is real.

The turquoise water in the Kabakongan Cove is we are all searching for, splashing beneath the white sand beach and surrender yourself as you take the challenge in embracing the cold and clear waters of the cove. Not just mentioning the colourful marine life and corals that composed the beautiful world underwater.

When you get inside Sohoton Cove, it is not just the reflections of clear waters greeted you after passing a small channel during low tide but the place is quietly dominating as another paradise is coming to your senses with serene jade waters scattered before your eyes, enveloped by the lush green mountains, embracing fresh air, rock formations, and caves for adventurism. You are going deep into the womb of Mother Nature as what they say.

How to get there: From Butuan City by bus or van to Hayanggabon Port, Claver, then a boat ride from the port in going to Socorro town or Rally Point.

Distance: It will take estimated 2 hours to reach Hayanggabon Port of Claver from Butuan City, then another possible half to one hour crossing the seas going to Socorro or Rally Point.

Lake Bababu is located in the Bababu Island, Basilisa town of Dinagat Island province. The lake is amazing clear water with freshwater dominating above the level of water while below is salty. It has an underwater cave that connects the lake to the sea. Some professionals divers were able to navigate this enchanting channel from the lake to the sea.

Going to Laka Bababu will take half an hour through trekking into the jungle. You will experience a steep, uneven, rocky mountains but at the end, the reward is immeasurable as seeing the beautiful view of the lake, refreshing winds surrounded with thick vegetation of lush forest, while swimming the pure and clear water.

Libjo is a hub of Mother Nature endowed with the beautiful white sand beaches to rock island formations. This islands and rocky islets floating along the ocean in a turquoise water are such a common sights to behold, particularly in Osmeña, Libjo, Dinagat Islands. It is just another 100 hundred islands in Pangasinan, but this one blessed with scenic and panoramic attractions like the reef surrounding the islands, white sands, and turquoise water from the Pacific Ocean.
