Tinuy-an Falls got angry in the month of January!

During rainy seasons which mostly January, Tinuy-an Falls of Bislig City became a powerful force of Mother Nature like the Niagara Falls of Canada. The falls blanketed the whole scene with fog and cloudy atmosphere. It flows like a thick white curtain, and you will not see even a tiny dark line from the walls of the falls from the first tier up to the last. Everything is covered with cotton white with a thunderous smash of the angry falls echoing the ears.

How to get there: Public Utility Bus or van from Butuan City to Bislig City, then rent a van or jeepney in going to Tinuy-an Falls.

Distance: Estimated 4 hours of travel from Butuan City to Bislig City through public utility bus or van, then from Bislig City terminal you can rent van or jeepney in going to Tinuy-an Falls for estimated 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Discovered White House in the Heart of Sohoton, Bucas Grande Islands

This is not a haunted house! In the middle of the cove another attraction where visitors can contemplate how beautiful Sohoton and the rest of Bucas Grande islands and islets.

This white house, you can stay for awhile before going to Sohoton Cove, and probably, seminars and training can be held to lift your spirits high. You can not see any construction anywhere else in Sohoton but this is just the only one there standing on the ground nestled in lush vegetation and mountains.

Location: Socorro, Surigao del Norte, Caraga Region

How to get there: From Butuan City by bus or van to Hayanggabon Port, Claver, then a boat ride from the port in going to Socorro town or Rally Point, then hire a pump boat to carry to different destinations in Bucas Grande Islands.

Distance: It will take estimated 2 hours to reach Hayanggabon Port of Claver from Butuan City, then another possible half to one hour crossing the seas going to Socorro or Rally Point, and from there you can hire pump boat to carry to different destinations in Bucas Grande Islands.

Cagwait White Beach is located at Cagwait, Surigao del Sur. It is a white sand beach surrounds an inland water, that is a long stretch of white sands before your eyes!

Cagwait White Beach is also considered as ‘Boracay of Caraga’ and the ‘Unseen Paradise’ but now became famous for Caraga Region tourist spots because of clear jade water and the long stretch of white sands will take you for miles walking along the beach.

How to get there: From Butuan City by bus or van to Cagwait, then along the highway can take a walk into the Cagwait White Beach or take a ride on bicycle or tricycle.

Distance: It will take for estimated 3 hours from Butuan City to Cagwait national highway using public utility bus or private vehicle, then at the highway of Cagwait, you can walk for about 15 minutes or taking a ride on bicycle or tricycle for a few minutes reaching Cagwait White Beach.

One of the many components of having a beautiful spot is to have natural-made pools, and this is where Magpupungko steals the show from the rest of the view. Magpupungko is located at Pilar, Siargao, Surigao del Norte.

The spot is visited more often from the locals as well as the international tourists due to amazing rock formations, high waves, and a haven of many God-made pools scattered along the way.

International Game Fishing Tournament is also the most awaited activity comes in the month of April where many anglers around the globe take the stage to capture giant fishes from the seas.

Now already the favorite destinations of trekkers and adventurers as rising nearly 700 meters above the sea level. Well, Mt. Mayapay provides a clear view of Butuan skyline and Butuan Bay, the fresh air from the mountains and from the ocean. Mother Nature surrounds everyone when you reach the peak of Mt. Mayapay.

Location: Butuan City, capital of Caraga Region

How to get there: From Butuan City proper by tricycle or bicycle en route to barangay Bonbon, and from there, take a walk as part of the adventure to the different mountains before reaching the highest peak, the Mt. Mayapay.

Distance: It will take for estimated 15 minutes by tricycle or bicycle to drop you in barangay Bonbon, then estimated 4 to 6 hours of walking from the drop point in going to Mt. Mayapay.

The stingless jellyfish lives in sancutary Jellyfish Lagoon, Sohoton, Bucas Grande Islands, Surigao del Norte.

As visitors enter the waters on a paddle boat, the lagoon becomes a pool of floating orange blobs. The jellyfish steal the show amidst the chirping birds, the calm aqua jade waters and lush green mountains. Called the “jellyfish lagoon,” these creatures have umbrella-shaped bodies where elongated clubs, instead of tentacles, dangle from the midsection.

The awesome photo of a white island is from Britania Group of Islands and Islets as one of the scenic 24 islands and islets facing the Pacific Ocean in the town of San Agustin, Surigao del Sur. This group of islands was famous because of it sugary-white sands, turquoise waters, snorkeling, and islands hopping.

Magpupungko is a haven of rocks from mountains to sea floor with hollow spaces on the ground. Once invaded by rising tide, the hollow spaces form into different natural made pools when seawaters subside back to the ocean.

This is one of the millions stingless jellyfish can be your friend forever. They are here to greet your eyes that they are the harmless creatures living in a peaceful and serene place called Jellyfish Lagoon at Sohoton, Bucas Grande Islands. The lagoon is a grand expanse of still turquoise water, making the outlines of corals visible underneath.

During the month of March until May, millions of stingless jellyfish started to show up, and visitors keep coming to witness them floating the waters of Sohoton.
